Central Florida Scorpions And The Community!!!

by on Jan.14, 2013, under CFS News

Not many people think about the Minor Football League here in Central Florida, nor do they know or even think about the many young men playing the game and all of the volunteer support staff involved behind the scenes. They play for the love of the game, the lessons learned on and off the field, the chance to become productive young men and the pride they receive in achieving something good as a group or as individuals, but one could also argue that they play to represent their community and bring home a championship trophy so that all young and old can see what can happen when hard work, determination, and community support all come together.

The Central Florida Scorpions would like to give back to their community by help setting an example for all organizations to follow by participating in as many community events as possible. Not only will it help out the community, but it will also help spread the word on what this organization is all about:   ” Our Young Men and the Community, not just Football.”     We would like all to come out and join us as we participate in the 29th annual Martin Luther King Jr. Parade in downtown Orlando at 10:00 am on January 19th. The Scorpions will design their own float and parade along side other great organization who will be participating. On Sunday, January 20th, come join the team at MT. Olive Church as we show our thanks for all that is given to us. The church is located at 2525 W. Church St. Orlando Fl. and the services start at 10:00 am. This is only one of many churches the organization will be visiting to give thanks fot the blessings we have received.

This is only a small portion of the community services the Scorpions wish to participate in and show our way of giving back to those who have and will continue to support the organization, especially to the many volunteers and families who support their sons and husbands. If you have never heard of us, stick around, pass the word, the Scorpions are more than just a football team.

As a final note, the board of the Central Florida Scorpions will be holding a BBQ for the team and staff on February 2, to be held at the fields of Southport.
