Scorpions Help Fight Hunger!!

The Central Florida Scorpions were proud and honored to a part of Second Harvest Food Bank program and provide some much needed support with their mission to fight hunger in Central Florida.

Stephanie Hunter-Fletcher along with the Scorpions players volunteered their time on Wednesday, October 19th to help sort, store, and distribute donated items at the warehouse for Second Harvest. A good time was had by all as some of the first timers learned what all goes into the fight against hunger. Once again the Scorpions stepped up and look forward to give back to the community in any small way possible and look forward to their next community event.

WE’RE BACK!!!! SCORPIONS RETURN TO THE GAME!!!!! FOR 2014 -2015

by on Jul.03, 2014, under CFS News

The Central Florida Scorpions are returning to the field after taking a year off to regroup. During our time off, we never forgot about our players and tried to participate as much as possible in league events so as to stay current with news, teams, coaches, and players throughout the league.

During our time off, the Scorpion organization looked within itself to find any weak points and how to enhance our strong points. For those players and/or coaches who are returning to the Scorpions, you will see a new well defined plan to proceed with a successful season. There have been a few changes in policy which we feel will benefit everyone. The board of directors have remain the same with the addition of a new member and some officers positions changed around.

We are stronger now and more committed than ever before. You will see that the Scorpions will be a top notch football program and see why the Scorpions once took home the Organization of the Year once before.

MAKE NO MISTAKES, WE ARE BACK! WE ARE HUNGRY! WE WANT THECHAMPIONSHIP RING!

THE QUESTION IS……… ARE YOU UP TO THE CHALLENGE OF PARTICIPATING IN OUR QUEST?

UP COMING EVENT….

2013 SEASON—-RISE OF THE SCORPION!!!!!

by on Jan.23, 2013, under CFS News

The new 2013 upcoming football season for the Central Florida Scorpions is fast approaching and once again the quest begins for that elusive championship trophy which the Scorpions have been chasing. With a whole new coaching staff, dedicated to improving the team in all aspects, the Scorpions look to be a major force in a league that promises to be as tough as any they have faced before. The organization has added fresh new talent to compliment the veteran players and the practice sessions have gone well with everyone coming together as one unit. The coaches are excited, the players are excited, and this organization is excited for the upcoming season.

As always, the number one mission of the Scorpion organization is it’s love, dedication, and loyality to all of the players, coaches, family, and fan support that has been shown throughout the past 3 years. We want everyone to realize that this is all about the players and how we can best help them achieve whatever their goals are on and off the field. Each board member is loyal to this principle and we try very hard to bring aboard only those that choose to show their hard work, dedication, determination, and loyalty to themselves, their fellow players, and to this organization. We are proud of the community projects that the players and the staff have participated in and look forward to many more.

We”re ready, how about you? We welcome all who wish to share our excitement and pride, our joy and struggle, as we the Central Florida Scorpions embark on a new season filled with the unknown, but also can and will award surprises and satisfaction. Come out and see who we are, but most importantly what we are and what we stand for. Once again, to all the players, coaches, staff, and family, we thank you for your loyalty and support.

Central Florida Scorpions And The Community!!!

by on Jan.14, 2013, under CFS News

Not many people think about the Minor Football League here in Central Florida, nor do they know or even think about the many young men playing the game and all of the volunteer support staff involved behind the scenes. They play for the love of the game, the lessons learned on and off the field, the chance to become productive young men and the pride they receive in achieving something good as a group or as individuals, but one could also argue that they play to represent their community and bring home a championship trophy so that all young and old can see what can happen when hard work, determination, and community support all come together.

The Central Florida Scorpions would like to give back to their community by help setting an example for all organizations to follow by participating in as many community events as possible. Not only will it help out the community, but it will also help spread the word on what this organization is all about:   ” Our Young Men and the Community, not just Football.”     We would like all to come out and join us as we participate in the 29th annual Martin Luther King Jr. Parade in downtown Orlando at 10:00 am on January 19th. The Scorpions will design their own float and parade along side other great organization who will be participating. On Sunday, January 20th, come join the team at MT. Olive Church as we show our thanks for all that is given to us. The church is located at 2525 W. Church St. Orlando Fl. and the services start at 10:00 am. This is only one of many churches the organization will be visiting to give thanks fot the blessings we have received.

This is only a small portion of the community services the Scorpions wish to participate in and show our way of giving back to those who have and will continue to support the organization, especially to the many volunteers and families who support their sons and husbands. If you have never heard of us, stick around, pass the word, the Scorpions are more than just a football team.

As a final note, the board of the Central Florida Scorpions will be holding a BBQ for the team and staff on February 2, to be held at the fields of Southport.
